On the morning of your Alpine adventure, you'll depart from Lausanne at the designated time, setting off from the Swiss city towards Schilthorn, a peak in the Bernese Pre-Alps which measures 9,744 feet (2,970 metres) above sea level. We'll be able to relax in this environment while we admire the famous Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger peaks, all declared World Heritage Sites.
You'll catch the cable car up to its summit, which happens to be the filming location of the 1969 James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"! The interactive exhibitions at Schilthorn will allow you to feel like you're a spy yourself as you enjoy the unparalleled views off the snow-capped mountains.
If you're a thrill-seeker, this next activity is for you: walk over the jagged peaks of the mountains below on an adrenaline-inducing walkway... if you dare!
The effort will be worth it when you're faced with the spectacular panoramic vista from the famous Piz Gloria revolving restaurant located at the top of Schilthorn.
Descending the mountain, you'll next head to Interlaken, the pretty town located between Lakes Thun and Brienz, where you'll have free time to stoll between its traditional houses, explore its historic centre and visit its typical shops. For the finishing touch on your day, don't forget to stop in at a local restaurant to indulge in some Swiss cuisine (not included).
